Host Home Provider Position

We seek experienced Host Home Providers willing to open their homes and foster individuals who can no longer live independently and prefer not to reside in a communal setting. Providers share their homes and lives with individuals with developmental disabilities, offering a private bedroom, hands-on support, and ongoing daily care. You can assist individuals with medical concerns or behavioral challenges and make a meaningful difference by integrating them into your family. HHP Provider Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide personal care, including hygiene assistance, meal prep, and dressing.
2. Assist with employment coaching to help clients find jobs.
3. Organize recreational activities to promote social development.
4. Include clients in family activities and daily life.
5. Accompany clients to supermarkets, museums, parks, dances, and recreation centers.
6. Provide transportation as needed.
7. Assist with medical care, including appointments and medication administration.
8. Maintain documentation of progress notes and medical records.
9. Train clients on life skills.

Qualifications for Success

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Pass criminal and motor vehicle background checks.
• Complete and maintain training in Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid.
• At least 1 year of experience as a host home provider.
• Preferably experienced with behavioral needs and medical needs (e.g., CNAs, LPNs, RNs).
