POSITION SUMMARY:

The Host ensures all restaurant guests are greeted, made to feel welcome, and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service.
• Greets all restaurant patrons immediately upon their arrival.
• Inquires about the number of guests in the party; maintains wait lists and communicates wait times to guests.
• Assigns guests to server stations fairly and equitably; takes guests to their station with menus and seats them accordingly.
• Controls guest volume level at the restaurant entrance; attends to and anticipates guests' needs while waiting to be seated.
• Answers customer inquiries about the menu, restaurant, and Bass Pro Shops.
• Answers phones and books reservations as requested.
• Performs opening and closing side work duties; assists with pre-bussing and table setup activities.
• Acknowledges and thanks guests upon departure.
• Maintains restrooms throughout the shift.
• All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Experience in and passion for consumer service.
• Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Flexible and mindful of team approach.
• Follow proper procedures as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to memorize and learn menu items.
• Work well with a team, prioritize tasks, and have a sense of urgency for guest satisfaction.
• Motivated, takes pride in work, and stays calm and organized when busy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, etc.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
