Job summary

Discovery Land Company seeks a part-time Host/Greeter at Troubadour Golf & Field Club outside Nashville, TN. The role requires a friendly, professional host who welcomes guests, manages reservations, and guides guests to tables with warmth and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 6+ months in fine-dining or high-volume settings, knowledge of HACCP and food safety, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• HACCP knowledge and local food safety standards; State Food Safety Certificate obtainable.
• Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations.
• Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests at the door with a smile and warm greeting, using guest name when possible.
• Maintain eye contact and correct posture.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins in an organized fashion.
• Schedule reservations over the phone, email, or in person requests.
• Ensure all members and guests with reservations have their required table before arrival.
• Lead guests to appropriate tables according to party size.
• Thank guests and members for their patronage and invite them to return.
• Assist in ensuring club policies and standards are met by all staff.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, TN.

Host / Greeter

Part-Time Hourly role. Pay Starting at $15 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests at the door with a smile and warm greeting, using guest name whenever possible.
• Maintain eye contact and correct posture.
• Manage reservations and walk-in's in an organized fashion.
• Schedule reservations over the phone, email, or in person requests.
• Ensure all members and guests with reservations have their required table before arrival.
• Lead guest to appropriate table according to number of guest.
• Thank guests and members for their patronage and invite them to return.
• Assist is seeing all club policy, procedures, and standards are being met by all staff.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• At least six (6) months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.

• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
