Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club in Salt Lake City is seeking a friendly Host to welcome, greet and seat guests with professionalism. You will manage reservations, provide accurate wait times, and support a high-volume dining and entertainment venue.

The ideal candidate has prior host or hospitality experience in fast-paced settings, can stand for long periods, and maintain a polished appearance. This on-site role requires flexibility for days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club is looking for Hosts to join our team.About UsA revolutionized dining, drinking and entertainment establishment across from Delta Center in Fountain Plaza at The Gateway. Owned and operated by Las Vegas-headquartered Carver Road Hospitality, the complex will feature a restaurant, three bars, 400-square-feet of LED screens, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a central nightclub and a cocktail lounge with bowling.Open seven days a week, the restaurant will serve American bar and grill food favorites along with more eclectic offerings and playfully crafted desserts, all freshly prepared in the full kitchen.Position SummaryThe Host will be responsible for welcoming, greeting and seating guests in a gracious, accommodating, and professional manner, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. The Host is also responsible for managing reservations and providing accurate wait times for guests without reservations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.Anticipates and accommodates needs of the guest while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.Provide guests with basic food and beverage information including special offerings and displays upselling skillsAble to assign seating considering service standards, staffing levels and kitchen capacitySet up the host stand, review the reservation book, and maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout shift.Assist with incoming calls and answering questions from guests and confirm reservations.Seat reservations promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and hold chairs for guests as often as possible when seating them.Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.Actively takes and processes reservations for guests, special orders, pre-payment information.Perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.Responsible for making sure all menus are organized and current, taking weekly inventory of menu paper, menu backs and desk stationaryReports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.Portrays a positive and professional attitude.Our Ideal CandidatePrevious host/hospitality experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge preferred.Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
