Job summary

Hershey Lodge is seeking a Part-Time Team Member to support restaurant management in guest service and satisfaction. The role involves greeting guests, seating, and assisting with reservations while ensuring service quality in a busy environment within Hershey Lodge.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them according to requests and server rotation.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges.
• Coordinate reservations and seating charts; answer phones; oversee service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality.
• Respond to guests' questions, requests, and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position assists restaurant management in overseeing guest service and satisfaction at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Greet guests upon arrival in the restaurant and seat guests in accordance with their requests and server rotation*
• Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash control and settlement of guest charges*
• Coordinate reservations and seating charts, answer telephones; and oversee service, safety, and sanitation to ensure quality*
• Respond to guests' questions, requests, and concerns*
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to operate point-of-sale computer and calculator.
• Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Professional image representative of company image.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash.

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of shift), walking, bending, stooping, hearing, speaking and finger dexterity.
• The ability to communicate effectively in a loud environment.
• Ability to work a flexible eight-hour shift, breakfast, lunch, or dinner including weekends and holidays.
