Bellerive COUNTRY CLUB in Missouri is seeking a Clubhouse Host(ess) to greet Members and guests, seat them promptly, and assist the service team in a welcoming atmosphere. The role requires knowledge of dining rooms, table numbers, and daily events, with emphasis on courteous service and proper seating protocols.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods and work in a busy private club environment, attending pre-shift meetings and training as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, with eye contact, a smile and good posture, using their last name whenever possible.
• Guide Members and guests to their reserved table pre-set for the correct number in their party.
• Assist service staff by ensuring water and clearing glasses, dishes or debris when time permits.
• Inform service staff when tables have been seated in their section.
• Attend staff meetings including pre-shift sessions and training as required.
• Basic knowledge of Jonas POS system.
• Complete other appropriate work assignments as requested by the manager on duty.
• Ensure completed to-go orders are delivered to the appropriate recipient.

Position Summary:

The Clubhouse Host(ess) reports to Food & Beverage management. They’ll will be responsible for greeting Members and guests and seating them in a welcoming, prompt and efficient manner. As a private club we pride ourselves on providing exemplary service to each and every Member and guest. They will always bring their best self to work everyday to be the best teammate and employee possible.

Core Duties:

• Greets Members and guest with a warm and welcoming demeanor


• Has intimate knowledge of all dining rooms, table numbers, seat numbers and daily events


• Understands the server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and their maximum workload capacity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greets each guest promptly and courteously, with eye contact, a smile and good posture, using their last name whenever possible.


• Offer to check a Member or guests’ coat/umbrella/hat or other cumbersome belongings


• Guides Members and guests to their reserved table pre-set for the correct number in their party


• Helps Members and guests that need assistance into their seats, holding chairs as often as possible; always tries to seat ladies, starting with the oldest


• Promptly seats and/or communicates with Members without reservations or those waiting for others to join them.


• Informs service staff when tables have been seated in their section


• Assists service staff, when time permits, with ensuring tables have water and are cleared of any dirty glasses, dishes or debris


• Knowledgeable of daily club operations, including events and operating hours


• Thanks members and guests; invites them to return


• Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions and training as required.


• Basic knowledge of Jonas POS system


• Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the manager on duty.


• Ensures completed to-go orders received from Expo are delivered to the appropriate recipient

Requirements

• Must have the ability to comply with county health regulations regarding Hepatitis A vaccinations.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or reach.


• Continuous repetitive motions.


• Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
