Bellerive COUNTRY CLUB is seeking a Club House Server to deliver exceptional dining service to members and guests, collaborating with culinary and beverage teams to enhance knowledge and service opportunities. You will be expected to maintain club standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will demonstrate hospitality, manage orders via Jonas POS, and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws while engaging with members on menu specifics and dietary needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience with menu knowledge.
  • Provide genuine hospitality in dining room and club areas.
  • Offer immediate and continuous service to all members/guests.
  • Process accurate member/guest orders and payments.
  • Enter orders to the kitchen using Jonas POS.
  • Navigate Jonas POS for opening/closing and chit accuracy.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain restaurant equipment.
  • Set up and break down dining spaces and keep areas clean.
  • Learn members' dietary needs and allergies.
  • Complete daily opening/closing side work and sign out with closing server/manager.
  • Report complaints or service issues to on-duty manager.
  • Attend mandatory training classes when provided.
  • Stay present on the floor and assist other servers.
  • Engage in food/wine discussions during pre-shifts and menu knowledge.
  • Know events happening at the club and assist members accordingly.
  • Adhere to uniform standards.
  • Other tasks as assigned by F&B leadership.

Position Summary

The Club House Server will be responsible for providing excellent Food and Beverage service to members and guests. Works seamlessly with the Culinary Team to maintain and develop food knowledge, as well as the Beverage Manager to expand all beverage service opportunities. Adheres to the Club standards and culture while working in a fast-paced environment

Core Four Competencies
  • Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager/Supervisor, set up, execute, and reset all a la carte spaces ensuring the cleanliness and organization of FOH and BOH.
  • Ability to execute all service types (i.e., Russian, French, American, buffet, etc.) in pursuit of “wow” moments and helps ensure member and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures that all state and local laws, club policies, and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
  • Helps maintain a dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional dining experience through menu knowledge and the ability to answer all member/guest questions related to food and beverage.
  • Demonstrate genuine hospitality while serving members/guests in the dining room as well as all areas of the club.
  • Provide immediate and continuous service to all members/guests.
  • Gather accurate member club numbers, or credit card payments from guests for billing purposes.
  • Place accurate orders to the kitchen using Jonas POS.
  • Ability to navigate Jonas POS for all other opening, closing, and accuracy of chits.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain restaurant equipment in dining and storage areas.
  • Set up and break down dining spaces, patio, and back of house area and keep all areas clean, organized, and presentable to members.
  • Become familiar with members and their dietary needs/ requests.
  • Thorough menu and food knowledge to ensure all allergies or food sensitivities are acknowledged and adhered to.
  • Complete daily opening and closing side work and check out with the closing server prior to leaving.
  • If assigned to the closing server, ensure all side work tasks have been completed by all other staff before leaving and checking out with the closing manager on duty.
  • Immediately alert the manager(s) on duty of any complaints or service issues during service so they may be resolved.
  • Attending mandatory training classes when provided.
  • Stay present on the floor continuously throughout the shift and be available to assist other servers in all capacities as needed during service.
  • Engage in food/wine discussions during pre-shifts and have strong menu knowledge. Be able to answer all menu questions that might be asked by a member.
  • Knowledge of all events happening throughout the club daily and be able to assist a member to a designated area if needed.
  • Adhere to uniform standards set by the Club.
  • Other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Food and Beverage or other members of the Food and Beverage leadership team.
Requirements
  • Must have the ability to balance multiple projects and have strong project and time management skills. Must possess high attention to detail.
  • Must display an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take direction, and exercise good judgment. Must have the ability to reason and apply common-sense understanding to situations encountered.
  • Must have authority to reason and apply common sense understanding to situations encountered.
  • Must have a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills in order to communicate and work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Must use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluent English; compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
  • Ability to simultaneously process routine daily functions, resolve sensitive issues, and complete complex assignments utilizing above-average critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays when needed to ensure the appropriate demands of the department.
  • The physical demands of this position are representative of those that might be met by an employee for them to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday and having the ability to transport twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Must have the ability to comply with county health regulations regarding Hepatitis A vaccinations.
