Base pay range

$15.50/hr - $16.50/hr

Job Overview

The host/ess is responsible for greeting guests, seating them promptly, and bidding farewell with an invitation to return. They ensure a smooth flow of guests, maintain organization at the host stand, and assist with various tasks to enhance guest experience.

Responsibilities

1. Greet guests immediately upon arrival.
2. Inform guests their table is ready and invite them to sit.
3. Carry drinks to tables and transfer tabs as needed.
4. Assist guests with seating by pulling out chairs and tables.
5. Answer calls promptly and courteously.
6. Manage table rotation for optimal guest flow.
7. Keep the host stand organized and stocked.
8. Move furniture as directed by management.
9. Monitor restaurant for empty tables.
10. Address guest concerns and resolve complaints positively.
11. Complete opening, running, and closing side work duties.
12. Assist teammates as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 18+ years old.
• State work cards as required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Familiarity with Opentable.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols.

Working Conditions

• Indoor and outdoor work environments, exposed to varying conditions.
• Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting.
• Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements
