PENN Entertainment's Baton Rouge location is seeking a friendly host to welcome guests and manage seating in a fast-paced dining environment. You will greet guests, present menus, and coordinate with servers to ensure timely service.

This role emphasizes accurate cash handling and polite communication. Experience in guest-facing roles and the ability to use a computerized cash register are preferred, with enthusiasm for delivering a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide especially timely & knowledgeable service; Always find solutions to guests’ problems. Use the guest’s name when appropriate.
• Greet and seat guests at tables according to guest preference and table availability.
• Provide guests with menus and inform guests of restaurant specials and feature items.
• Coordinate with food servers, bus persons and other restaurant personnel in providing guest service.
• Operate electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for payment transactions and transports monies to and from the main Credit cage.
• Keep cash register and host area stocked with necessary equipment, forms and supplies.
• Ensure dining and serving areas are set up and maintained according to standard.

Requirements

• One-year experience directly related to the responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with guests
• Demonstrated money-handling and math skills - Demonstrated ability to operate computerized cash register
• Must be age 18 or older
