Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line is seeking a Host/Cashier Lead at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for the summer season. You will operate the point-of-sale system, greet guests, manage transactions, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.

This role requires a positive, professional appearance, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to live in company housing where available.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.

Responsibilities

• Operate point of sale computer, handle financial transactions and process orders accurately.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
• Cleaning and stocking the venue to ensure success, rotating and organizing product to prevent spoilage.
• Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
• Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Must have or the ability to obtain an Alaska Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
