The Fifth Avenue Hotel is seeking a Host (Bell / Door Person) to join our Guest Services team in Manhattan. You will warmly welcome guests, assist with arrivals and departures, and coordinate transportation with care for a seamless, memorable guest experience.

As the first and last impression of The Fifth, you will transport luggage, guide guests to reception, and anticipate their needs while maintaining a polished, professional presence in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience required; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, professional presence.
• Ability to remain composed and service-focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Role requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages, amenities, and items to guest rooms promptly and discreetly.
• Assist with room changes and special requests with attention to detail.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the guest entrance and luggage storage areas.

Position Overview

As a Host (Bell / Door Person), you are the first and last impression of The Fifth Avenue Hotel. You will warmly welcome guests upon arrival, provide seamless assistance with luggage and transportation, and deliver thoughtful, anticipatory service throughout each guest’s stay. This role is integral to creating a gracious, polished, and memorable arrival and departure experience.

• Keep informational materials current and readily available for guests

Collaboration & Service Excellence

• Partner closely with Front Office and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintain awareness of guest feedback and satisfaction metrics
• Consistently contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience

Safety & Standards

• Practice safe work habits and follow all safety guidelines
• Adhere to hotel standards, policies, and procedures

Additional Responsibilities
