Job summary

Miller’s Ale House is seeking a hosting team member to start guests off on a great note and guide them to seating that fits preferences and capacity. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, fun dining environment where open communication and reliable service are valued.

As a host, you’ll greet guests, manage seating rotations with servers, assist with bussing and resetting tables, and provide accurate wait times while maintaining a polished appearance and friendly professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must show a warm, upbeat demeanor with guests.
• Punctuality and clean, complete uniform required.
• Provide a friendly welcome to guests, vendors, and applicants.
• Seat guests according to seating preferences when possible.
• Rotate seating with servers to balance workloads.
• Support teammates with bussing, sanitizing, and resetting tables.
• Provide accurate wait times and suggest seating options.
• Answer calls in a friendly, professional manner.

What you bring:

• Showcases a warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor to guests
• Arrives to work on time in full, clean uniform
• Provides a friendly welcome to all guests, vendors and job applicants
• Fulfills all job responsibilities in order to contribute to a “one great shift” operation
• Seats guests based on their seating preference when possible
• Rotates seating with different servers to ensure even workloads
• Supports Team Members in bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables on an as-needed basis
• Provides accurate wait times to guests and recommends wait options (seating at the bar)
• Answers incoming restaurant calls in a friendly, professional manner
• Assists bussers and servers in bussing tables and running food while ensuring proper food handling guidelines are being followed
• Communicates with fellow team members and management to keep one another informed
• High volume experience preferredTeam Members must be 18 years of age at the time of hire
• Must have late night and weekend schedule flexibility
