Dallas Country Club is seeking a friendly Host for full-time or part-time roles in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will greet Members/Guests, manage seating, and maintain a welcoming entry flow for the Turtle Creek Grill.

Prior restaurant experience and strong customer service are valued. Responsibilities include coordinating reservations, communicating with servers and management, and maintaining menu knowledge.

Qualifications

  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
  • Must show professionalism.
  • Must be able to read menus.
  • Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate Guests' needs to servers, Managers, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
  • Experience working Excel, Microsoft Word, and Apps.
  • Multitasking emails/phone/iPad.

Responsibilities

  • Greet Members/Guests by name and seat them accordingly.
  • Keep menus clean and presentable at all times.
  • Ensure entry doors are clean and inviting.
  • Check reservation book for day/night bookings.
  • Coordinate with management to avoid large private parties.
  • Manage table flow and guest satisfaction during service.
  • Plan seating chart and organize reservations.
  • Escort guests to tables and present menus when seated.
  • Inform servers when guests are seated.
  • Track and balance counts for servers to ensure fairness.
  • Maintain constant communication with servers and kitchen staff.
  • Bid guests farewell and thank them for dining with us.
  • Handle To-Go orders when needed.
  • Stay updated on full menu and any changes.
  • Monitor daily cover counts and email counts before closing.

Role Description

Dallas Country Club is currently seeking qualified individuals for full-time or part-time Host positions at the Turtle Creek Grill. DCC, founded in 1896, is the most exclusive and prestigious private club in the area and we pride ourselves on hiring the best of the best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet Members/Guest by name, if possible.
  • Make sure all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete.
  • Make sure entry doors are clean, free of debris and inviting.
  • Check reservation book for the day/night’s reservations.
  • Check with the manager to ensure there are no large or private parties you do not know about.
  • Help manage the flow of the restaurant with table seating and member satisfaction
  • Plan out the seating chart and organize the reservations (planning is everything when running an effective host stand).
  • Greet guests, escorts them to their table, pull seats out for the ladies, and present menus.
  • Make sure the server is aware they have been sat.
  • Keep the counts for individual server so things come out fair at the end of the night.
  • Keep in constant contact with the servers and the kitchen staff.
  • Say bye to all the guests.
  • Manage To- Go Orders when needed.
  • Know the full menu and stay up to date on menu changes.
  • Keep up to date on cover counts.
  • Send cover count email each day before close.
  • Keep daily event list.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:

  • Must have stronginterpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
