Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, manage waitlists, seat guests, provide menus, and assist servers with initial drink orders in a fast-paced dining room.

You will be the first and last impression, delivering world-class service with a positive, energetic attitude, handling phone inquiries, restocking front-of-house supplies, and helping with opening/closing tasks as needed.

As a Host at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are the first and last impression for our guests. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Provide guests with accurate wait times and manage waitlists.
• Seat guests, provide them with menus and occasionally assist servers with initial drink orders.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Clean and organize the front-of-house and host station.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns.
• Answer phones professionally and courteously.
• Handle to-go inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
• Ensure business cards, beverage menus, and other paper goods are clean and stocked.
• Monitor restrooms periodically and notify management of any issues.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• Prior restaurant experience is not necessary but preferred.
• Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Push, pull up, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling.
• Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
