Job summary

Over Easy in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, manage seating, and ensure a warm, efficient start to every dining experience. You will greet guests, coordinate the waitlist via iPad, answer questions, and pass guest needs to servers.

A positive, energetic personality and strong communication are key. At Over Easy you’ll be part of a tight-knit, service-driven team that values warmth, reliability, and genuine hospitality.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a restaurant or customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow efficiently.
• Must be at least 16 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest upon arrival and thank them for joining Over Easy when they leave.
• Seat each guest in a timely manner and manage the waitlist iPad system.
• If on a wait list, remember to Spark Brighter Days.
• Answer phones and route guest questions to the appropriate person.
• Respond to guest requests and communicate to servers as needed.
• Assist teammates with food delivery and bussing tables.

The Position Specifics

The Host is where each guest experience starts and ends. The door or "Porta" is the most important part of the restaurant. First and last impressions matter and have a lasting impact on guest experience. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Welcome each guest upon arrival and thank them for joining Over Easy when they leave.
• Seat each guest in a timely manner and effectively manage the waitlist iPad system.
• If on a wait keep, remember it is our job to Spark Brighter Days.
• Answer phones, be able to answer guest questions or get them to the person that can best take care of that guest needs.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to Server as needed.
• Assist teammates as needed with food delivery and bussing tables.
