THE SMITH in New York City is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, guide them to tables, manage the floor plan, and answer menu questions. You’ll help create a welcoming environment and ensure reservations are seated on time.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and be attentive as they arrive.
• Create a welcoming environment and reference guests by name when appropriate.
• Accommodate requests and maintain a positive atmosphere.

• Manage the floor plan and reservations to ensure timely seating.
• Stock and organize menus at the host area.

THE POSITION: HOST

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet all Smith guests by being attentive to them as soon as they walk through the door
• Create a welcome environment for guests, and when appropriate, refer to guests by their names.
• Say yes! Always try to find ways to accommodate a request.
• Guide guests to their tables with menus.
• Manage the floor plan and pay special attention to reservations and ensure they are seated in a timely manner.
• Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
• Answer phone calls and answer questions concerning the menu and the restaurant.
• Observe the entire dining experience, ensuring that every moment exceeds expectations
