Ghost Isle Brewery Bar & Restaurant in New Buffalo, MI is seeking a friendly, reliable Host/Hostess for part-time shifts. You will greet guests, manage waitlists, and coordinate seating to ensure smooth service.

This role offers on-site, fast-paced work with tips, a great team atmosphere, and opportunities to learn POS basics; prior restaurant experience is helpful but not required. Shifts include Thursday & Friday evenings, Saturday day and evening, and Sunday 11:30am-5:00pm.

Ghost Isle Brewery is looking for a friendly, reliable Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Position Overview:

You will greet guests as they arrive, manage waitlists, and coordinate seating to support efficient service. A great host sets the tone for the entire guest experience by delivering a positive first impression and keeping things organized during busy shifts.

Availability:

• Sunday from about 11:30am-5:00pm

The Sima Family has owned the 3.5‑acre site where Ghost Isle Brewery Bar & Restaurant now sits since the 1950’s when Jim’s grandfather purchased hundreds of acres in New Buffalo, MI. The Brewery overlooks 156 acres of wetlands that was donated by the Sima Family to Chikaming Open Lands, a non‑profit organization that now maintains this Michigan state‑designated “critical wetlands.”
The beautiful, sweeping wetlands view to be enjoyed by patrons of Ghost Isle carries the name “Louis J Sima Great Lakes Marsh,” after Jim’s beloved Grandfather Louis J Sima. “Ghost Island” itself sits to the left and west of the brewery, and takes its name from generations of residents who played there as children and teens, and who claim there is supernatural activity on the island.
