Position Summary:

Prior hosting experience required. Familiarity with OpenTable preferred. Part-time, evening and weekends position; work at other Downtown Kaskaid properties possible. Wage negotiable based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possibility of 90 day bonus with high skills execution.
• Complete Management of Open Table system.
• Direct and manage co-hosts during shifts.
• Print any special chits off OpenTable with special instructions and hand off to server upon their checking in.
• Review all of the OpenTable reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Utilize OpenTable to capture important information about guests.
• Work with manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members, and guests).
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; hours start as early as 9 AM and can go as late as 2 AM depending on the work required.
