Job summary

Avvio Millbury, part of the Newport Restaurant Group, is hiring a Host for our opening team in Millbury, MA. You’ll greet guests warmly, manage reservations and seating, and ensure a welcoming entrance with smooth guest flow.

No extensive restaurant experience required; strong organizational and communication skills, plus a polished presence, will help you thrive. Hiring events run daily during the opening period—join us and grow with a supportive employer.

Qualifications

• Prior hosting, front-desk, or customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using reservation and waitlist software, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with genuine warmth and set the tone for an exceptional dining experience from the very first moment.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow to keep the dining room running smoothly.
• Communicate table status and wait times clearly and honestly – with guest and with your team.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and handle guest inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean, organized and welcoming throughout the shift.

• Clear, confident communication with both guest and teammates under pressure
• A polished, professional presence that reflects the Avvio experience
