Job summary

The Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY is seeking a Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating to ensure a memorable dining experience. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to support smooth front-of-house operations in a hospitality-forward environment.

Experience in hotel dining is a plus, and you should be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job description

Host/Hostess

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere upon arrival. You’ll manage reservations, coordinate seating, and assist in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations. This role is key to delivering an exceptional guest dining experience and reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be the welcoming face of our hotel's dining experiences, ensuring guests feel at home and have a memorable meal.
• Your daily tasks will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating table assignments.
• You will report to the Restaurant Supervisor or Restaurant Manager.
• A career as a host/hostess can lead to opportunities in various roles within the hospitality industry, such as server, banquet staff, or even food and beverage management positions.

Education & Experience

Hotel experience is always a plus! Applicants should have:
