Summary of Position

Responsible for ensuring that the greeting and seating of guests is prompt, efficient and above all friendly and courteous. They will coordinate the organization, traffic flow, and cleanliness of the dining room. May be required to accept and facilitate To‑Go orders via Phone or Online Ordering and facilitate those orders’ execution in a timely manner. Responsible for properly handling cash and credit cards for all transactions taken during the work shift. Ensure that all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take out procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Guest Experience: Frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room; attend guests and serve them in accordance with high standards per Boston’s expectations.
• Involve a manager immediately when a negative guest experience is identified.
• Maintain smooth, even flow of the dining room and thank every guest sincerely.
• Product Quality & Knowledge: Maintain a high level of food and beverage knowledge; ensure menu items are prepared per Boston’s standards; stay abreast of promotions and help implement new ones.
• Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to health and safety expectations; maintain cleanliness; practice food safety, time and temperature control, personal hygiene, and cross‑contamination prevention.
• Assist in training and development of new team members when required.
• Cooperate, communicate, and work as a team.
• Maintain a professional image and uniform standards while performing job‑related tasks.
• Sell and serve alcohol responsibly, monitored in accordance with licensing authorities, Serve Safe Alcohol training and Boston’s Pizza training guidelines; report concerns to manager.
