Job summary

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming, operated by Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks friendly hospitality staff to welcome guests, manage reservations, and seat patrons in a fast-paced live entertainment setting.

Role requires weekend/evening availability, ability to obtain KHRC license, and a strong knowledge of Bourbon and Brew offerings. Training provided, with opportunities to advance in a premier Kentucky venue.

Qualifications

• KHRC license eligibility or ability to obtain license.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on entry and manage waiting list.
• Provide menus and answer initial questions.
• Seat guests at tables or waiting areas.
• Assign guests to tables, keeping rotation in mind for balance.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Respond to complaints and help resolve them.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations and answer questions.
• Knowledge of Bourbon and Brew menu.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming is a gaming facility in Florence, Kentucky. Turfway Park Racing & Gaming features 850 popular, thrilling, state-of-the-art HRM games, a simulcast area with VIP section, event center, live horse racing, restaurants and bars.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Description

• Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
• Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
• Knowledge of Bourbon and Brew menu.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be at least 21 years of age
