Job summary

CRAVE is seeking a friendly host/hostess to check in guests, greet tables, take reservations and keep the dining area organized. You will manage OpenTable entries, seat guests promptly, and ensure the host stand is clean and inviting.

This on-site position offers a flexible schedule, wages between $14.00 and $16.00 per hour, and opportunities to work with a collaborative team. Join CRAVE to help create memorable dining experiences through proactive communication and great guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for checking in all employees and highlighting on the Open Table system.
• Answer the phone, take reservations, and take takeout orders.
• Ensures menus are clean and organized.
• Greet, check in and seat guests.
• Review all of the open table reservations and map out the plan for the shift.
• Utilize open table to make sure to capture important information about guests.
• Work with manager on the floor to ensure the proper wait time.
• Ensure restrooms and the host stand are clean, stocked and organized.
• Interacts with guests to ensure positive dining experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests.)
• Basic reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multi-task

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 10 AM and can go as late as 10 PM depending on the work required.

Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
