The Toasted Yolk Café is a full-service neighborhood eatery offering reimagined interpretations of traditional breakfast and lunch classics. We focus on serving dishes made with high-quality ingredients in a vibrant, comfortable atmosphere. Our menu caters to meals throughout the day, including egg specialties and coffee in the morning, cocktails and pancakes at brunch, and salads, sandwiches, and soups at lunch.

Your role is to create an exceptional dining experience, helping guests cherish their moments. Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning, prepping quickly and efficiently, and supporting the cooks and servers by providing clean dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and silverware.

This position involves one shift, no dinner hours, from 7 am to 3 pm, allowing most days to end by 4 pm for family dinner and weekends off.

Must work in a busy, high-energy environment, be on your feet for up to 10 hours, and be able to lift 40 lbs. Candidates must be 21 or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Refer to the Daily Schedule for shift responsibilities.
2. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to Waitstaff.
3. Perform a walk-through inspection of the dining room at the start of each shift.
4. Prepare the Floor Map and Waiter/Waitress listing for approval and assign stations accordingly.
5. Travel throughout the dining room during service to ensure guest satisfaction.
6. Assist with mid-shift transitions and re-assign stations as needed.
7. Greet guests warmly and promptly.
8. Address guest needs and special requests, checking frequently to ensure excellent service.
9. Handle guest concerns professionally using the LAST approach (Listen, Apologize, Solve, Thank).
10. Follow the GOLDEN Rules of service: Greet with a smile, Offer suggestions, Leave a great impression, Deliver hot and delicious food, Ensure cleanliness, Never leave a guest unhappy.
11. Communicate guest feedback to Management.
12. Ensure bathroom cleaning procedures are followed every 30 minutes.
13. Monitor and ensure Waitstaff compliance with company procedures.
14. Oversee shift close-out and station checks.
15. Report operational issues promptly to Management.
16. Wash hands frequently.
17. Assist Management to ensure efficient cafe operations.
18. Follow daily closing procedures and check with Management before leaving.
