Job summary

Renaissance Denver Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, greet arrivals, offer seating options, and present menus in accordance with our service standards.

You will help maintain the dining room setup, assist with service, manage reservations for special events, coordinate with shifts, and uphold EarthView sustainability practices along with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, offer seating, and present menus.
• Escort guests to tables and coordinate seating with staff.
• Maintain daily logs to coordinate communication between shifts.
• Assist with service and manage reservations for special functions.

Your Focus

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, escort to the dining table and present menu.
• Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
• Maintain proper set-up of the dining room.
• Assist as needed or requested with service.
• Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background And Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent .
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and will include working on holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
