IHOP Dalton is looking for a friendly Host to greet guests, manage seating, and ensure a welcoming dining experience in a fast-paced setting. As the first point of contact, you will help create memorable moments for guests and support the team with smooth front‑of‑house operations.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, multitasking, and a positive attitude. Starting pay is $11 per hour with weekends and holidays required, plus benefits and growth opportunities within IHOP.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Accurately manage the seating chart and assign tables to guests based on their party size and wait times.
• Provide menus and inform guests about specials or promotions.
• Answer phone calls, complete to-go orders, and assist with any inquiries or requests.
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including waiting areas and host stand.
• Collaborate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage guest waitlist efficiently during busy periods, ensuring a positive experience.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist with light cleaning and stocking as needed, including resetting tables by cleaning chairs, booths, and floors.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOST

• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
