Job summary

Encore Event Center in Cleveland, OH is seeking a friendly Host to greet and seat guests, set the tone for a welcoming dining experience, and ensure smooth seating and reservations.

You will manage the reservation system, assist with waitlists, communicate wait times, and support the front-of-house team with daily tasks. Prior host or customer service experience is a plus, and staying poised in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
• Manage the reservation system, including floor plans, seating rotations, and waitlists
• Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate updates clearly to guests
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and lobby area
• Answer phone calls and handle guest inquiries and reservations efficiently
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, or special occasions to the service team
• Support front-of-house team with light bussing, table resets, and cleaning as needed
• Complete all shift checklists and maintain readiness throughout service
