Five Iron Golf NYC LLC is seeking a friendly Host to oversee the front desk, welcome guests, manage reservations in MindBody, and guide guests to simulators or bar areas. You will maintain a clean reception and assist staff across shifts.

Hours include nights and weekends; pay is $11.35/hr plus tips. This part-time, non-exempt role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and a welcoming guest experience in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable customer-service skills.
• Excellent communication, both on the phone and in person.
• Strong organizational skills to monitor simulators and bar area.
• Experience managing reservations is preferred.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Golf, server, or hospitality experience encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Host. This individual will oversee all aspects of the front desk and will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Welcome guests to the venue with a smile and positive 5i attitude


• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists


• Manage reservations in MindBody, our booking software


• Escort customers to assigned simulator or bar areas


• Provide information on specials as well as memberships and league information


• Acknowledge customers upon their departure


• Coordinate with wait staff about available simulator options


• Maintain a clean reception area


• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ inquiries


• Assist other staff as needed


• Required Qualifications:


• Golf, server, and/or hospitality experience encouraged but NOT required


• Experience in managing reservations


• Demonstrable customer-service skills


• Excellent communication skills both on the phone and in-person


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor all simulators and bar area


• Availability to work various shifts as needed
