Job summary

Ci Siamo Boston is opening a front-of-house host position in our Seaport location. The Host will greet guests, coordinate seating with the Maître D’, and help maintain a warm, welcoming dining room that reflects Enlightened Hospitality.

Ideal candidates have guest-facing experience and can work lunch shifts, standing for long periods. English fluency is required; additional languages are a plus. The role supports service with professionalism and grace.

Ci Siamo is a restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and James Beard semifinalist Chef Hillary Sterling. Located at Manhattan West, this NYT Top 100 restaurant celebrates the beauty of simplicity centering around live-fire cooking. The Italian-inflected menu takes inspiration from Chef Sterling’s extensive travels and is rooted in the understated excellence of seasonal ingredients and purposeful preparations. Ci Siamo, which loosely translates to “we’ve made it” or “we’ve arrived,” bridges the traditional with the contemporary to introduce a new space that is at once transportive yet warmly familiar.

Ci Siamo’s upcoming Boston location will embody the same dynamic energy and commitment to culinary excellence as its New York original. Located at Commonwealth Pier, an exciting new waterfront project within the Seaport neighborhood, Ci Siamo Boston looks forward to assembling a talented opening team in our new home.

Who you are:

The Host is a vital member of the Service team as the first impression and point of contact with every guest and visitor at the restaurant. The Host must exude warmth and hospitality and is a partner to the Maître D’ in plotting, planning, and updating the dining room to efficiently coordinate seatings throughout each service.

Hosts may also support our dining room service by setting tables, clearing tables, pouring water, running food, working with servers and expediters, resetting the dining room, polishing glassware and various tasks that support service at the restaurant.

What you’ll do:

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests whether in person or over the phone
• Partner with Maître D’ to quoteaccuratewait times while “finding the yes” for all guests
• Properly answer guest inquiries with regards to restaurant hours of operation and basic operational information, menus, and reservations
• Possess an understanding of proper steps of service and engage in table maintenance and resetting with efficiency,speedand grace
• Stay informed and knowledgeable of all menu items and proper mise toaccompanyeach dish
• Maintain thehigh standardsof cleanliness and proper appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant.
• Act as a liaison between the guest, management, servicestaffand kitchen and communicate accordingly
• Assists with Coat Check duties as needed
• Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency whileremainingcomposed
• Demonstrates a passion for guest experience and an eagerness to learn and grow

What we need from you:

• Experience in a guest facing role in a restaurant preferred, but not necessary
• Availability for lunch shifts
• Ability to walk or stand forlong periodsof time
• Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
• English fluency andadditionallanguages preferred, but notrequired
