Job summary

The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is hiring a Host/Support Staff to help manage the dining room and lounge area in downtown Asheville, NC. You will welcome guests, assist bartenders and servers, and handle reservations and orders using Resy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep restaurant area clean and organized; wipe counters, tables and equipment.
• Greet guests with enthusiasm and a welcoming manner.
• Record guest wait times, reservations and seating rotations using the Resy system on an iPad.
• Assist with light side work to support the team.
• Answer phone orders for in-room dining and takeout.
• Monitor FOH inventory and inform management when supplies run low.
• Assist with closing duties and restocking.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/ Support Staff at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection. in this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient operation of our bar and restaurant by assisting bartenders & servers with stocking and preparing the restaurant & lounge bar area. This is a full-time, hourly position plus tip out in the hospitality/restaurant industry located in beautiful downtown Asheville, North Carolina.

• Light side work required as needed to support the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality/restaurant industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Must be able to work mornings and weekends. Shifts typically start between 7am- 8am each day.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects on a regular basis.
