Job summary

The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is seeking a reliable Host/Support Staff to support bartenders and servers in stocking and preparing the restaurant and lounge area in downtown Asheville, NC. This full-time hourly role includes tips and benefits in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, recording seating with Resy, assisting with inventory, and performing opening/closing tasks while maintaining a clean, welcoming front-of-house.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospitality/restaurant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Morning and weekend shifts; flexible scheduling.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Must be able to work holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep restaurant area clean and organized.
• Greet guests with enthusiasm and a warm welcome.
• Use an i-Pad with Resy to record wait times, reservations and seating rotations.
• Light side work as needed to support the team.
• Answer the phone and take in-room dining and to-go orders.
• Keep FOH inventory and inform management when supplies are running low.
• Assist with closing duties, restocking supplies and cleaning the host station area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality/restaurant industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Must be able to work mornings and weekends. Shifts typically start between 7am- 8am each day.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects on a regular basis.
