Sonesta International Hotels in Columbus, OH is seeking a friendly Steward to keep kitchen and service areas clean, organized, and safe. You’ll support dishwashing, storage, and back-of-house operations across restaurants, banquets, and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in stewarding, dishwashing, or hospitality roles preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality and kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across kitchens, dish areas, storage rooms, banquet spaces, and back-of-house operations.
• Support kitchen and banquet teams by ensuring clean equipment and supplies are available during service periods.
• Assist with waste removal, recycling, floor cleaning, deep cleaning tasks, and sanitation standards across Food & Beverage operations.
• Operate dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow food safety regulations, sanitation standards, HACCP guidelines, OSHA requirements, and hotel safety procedures.
• Help organize and store china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and banquet equipment properly.
• Assist with banquet setup and breakdown for meetings, events, weddings, and catering functions.
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and communicate inventory or maintenance needs to leadership.
