Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Washington, DC (Penn Quarter) is hiring part-time team members to provide friendly, attentive service and support guests from ordering to checkout. You will learn pastry, bread, beverages, and retail items while maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule and ability to work across dining room and retail space.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to guests throughout the visit.
• Receive orders, enter into POS, and coordinate with kitchen as needed.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences; maintain knowledge of items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room and handle guest situations empathetically.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures and cash handling.
