Job summary

Paycom is seeking a restaurant server to take orders, serve beverages and food, and maintain an hospitable dining environment. You will communicate with guests and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction, while handling payments and maintaining a clean service area.

The role requires 18+ to serve alcohol, at least 1 year of high-volume server experience, and strong teamwork and math skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to serve alcohol.
• Minimum 1 year server experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Clear communication with managers, staff and guests.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must have alcohol awareness certification.
• Team player with strong stress-management.
• High school diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• 3+ years server experience (desirable).
• MICROS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular on-site attendance.
• Provide hospitable guest relations and exceed expectations.
• Know menu items, liquors, glassware and operate POS.
• Abide by state liquor regulations, including minors and intoxicated persons rules.
• Serve a three to four table section efficiently.
• Complete opening, running and closing side work; keep area clean.
• Coordinate with porters, oyster bar, kitchen and bartenders.
• Run food, drinks and oysters; pre-bus tables.
• Handle guest complaints with manager involvement.
• Follow payment, cash handling and credit procedures.
• Present a clean, neat uniform; maintain hygiene standards.
• Assist in training new staff when assigned.
