Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Sales & Marketing Intern to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a hotel’s Sales, Revenue Management, Events, and Marketing teams in the Seattle market.

You will assist in inquiries, guest communications, and support meetings and events while learning industry systems including Delphi FDC and Opera. The role provides exposure to hotel operations and a variety of career paths within hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
• Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable).
• Responsible for assisting in a smooth operation of the office.
• Greet guests/clients/employees when necessary.
• Attend meetings/training as required by management.
• Distributing of BEO’s daily change log, resume, site events, event guarantees if requested
• Take inquiries and distribute
• Work with Delphi FDC and Opera
