Job summary

Zingaro Italian Restaurant and Bar is seeking a Runner to provide quality hospitality. You will deliver food, pre-bus and clean tables, and assist servers and bartenders as needed in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation starts at a base wage of $5.50/hour plus tips, with guaranteed earnings of at least $11.00/hour and opportunities to earn more from gratuities. The role requires standing for long periods and strong guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and ensuring an excellent dining experience for all guests.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, and genuine, hospitality in a timely manner
• Ensure guests feel important and welcome in the restaurant
• Deliver food to the appropriate table, announcing each dish; pre-bus and clean tables
• Assist servers and bartenders with service as needed
• Stock server stations and the bar as needed
• Ability to transition between runner and busser duties based on service needs and/or guest needs
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
