Job summary

JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa in Aventura, FL is seeking an experienced Painter to maintain and repair surfaces across the hotel facilities, rooms and equipment. The role supports guest satisfaction and financial performance by ensuring quality finishes and timely upkeep.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in hospitality maintenance, carpentry, and paint work, with the ability to work from ladders and handle heavy materials.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of hotel industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of carpentry, paint, wallpaper and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Paint, maintain and repair painted surfaces, walls, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel.
• Prepare surfaces and apply paint using brushes, rollers and related tools.
• Install and repair wall coverings and ceilings as needed.
• Maintain caulked, stained or varnished surfaces per standards.
• Report maintenance needs to Engineering Manager or Director.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform other general maintenance duties as assigned by management.
