Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Columbia, SC seeks a Maintenance Assistant to support hotel engineering operations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, assisting skilled trades, and ensuring safe, clean work areas while maintaining knowledge of building systems and guest services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; work equivalent considered.
• 1–2 years of Maintenance Assistant experience preferred.
• Good English language skills and written/verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Be in proper uniform with nametag and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints and assist in maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, hours, rates, and promotions.
• Assist electricians, carpenters, plumbers and painters in repair work.
• Ensure correct use, maintenance and storage of tools and equipment.
• Follow OSHA regulations and hotel requirements when handling chemicals.
