Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Tampa is seeking an energetic Maintenance Engineer to join our hands-on team. This role focuses on maintaining hotel grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, with preventative maintenance and timely response to work orders.

Ideal candidate has HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge; 2–3 years in hotel maintenance; strong communication and safety mindset. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three years in a hotel maintenance position.
• Preferred but not required: one year of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain spare parts and bulbs.
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner.
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
