Union Square Hospitality Group in New York seeks a Legal Operations Manager to support the Legal Team across employment, IP, real estate, governance, litigation, and contracts. You will gather information on disputes, maintain trackers, and coordinate with leaders and outside counsel to keep compliance smooth and efficient.

You’ll work with our restaurants and business leadership, ensuring we stay compliant while enabling growth.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound, pragmatic judgment and strategic thinking.
• Ability to self-start, handle a fast-paced environment, and own workstreams.
• Discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or project management role is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Consistently deliver a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
• Gather information related to disputes and partner with outside counsel for litigation where needed.
• Maintain legal trackers spanning corporate governance, liquor licenses, contracts, and more.
• Update business leaders on changes in legal and regulatory landscape and propose changes as warranted.
• Coordinate, schedule, and participate in internal and external meetings.
• Analyze legal and insurance claim trends and implement risk controls.
• Support contract function: facilitate information flow in negotiations, draft demand letters and termination notices, and organize the Legal Team's documents.
• Ensure businesses are formed and qualified to operate under applicable laws; prepare governance materials.
• Obtain and maintain permits, licenses, and registrations (including liquor licenses).
• Partner with Tech Team to leverage AI and tools to streamline workflows and keep the Legal Team organized.
• Manage legal billing and generate spend reports.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support objectives.
