Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at a guest house in Paarl. The role focuses on maintaining the highest cleanliness standards and guest comfort by supervising staff and managing supplies.

Ideal candidates have supervisory housekeeping experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to train and motivate a team while upholding safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment and sanitation best practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping staff activities, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities for quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities; place orders as needed.
• Train new housekeeping staff on procedures and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and address related issues.
