Job summary

Mexican Sugar in Houston, TX seeks a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests and manage guest flow, ensuring a memorable dining experience. You will greet VIPs, track guest celebrations, and coordinate with the team to maintain smooth service.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of hospitality or customer service experience, read/write/speak English, and be able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. OpenTable experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of host/hostess or other relevant customer service experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Start every guest experience by sweeping guests away to unwind and escape the day-to-day.
• Move with a purpose with fast-paced foot speed, graceful flow, and purpose in every movement.
• Recognize VIP guests and kickoff their visits by welcoming back the best of friends.
• Ensure awareness of events (e.g., birthdays or anniversaries) so we can join the fiesta and make it muy especial.
• Encourage team members to seek help from you by inspiring them with your skills and expertise.
