Job summary

The Glenview at Pelican Bay in Naples, Florida is seeking an Activities Coordinator with a hospitality focus to plan and implement a varied activity program for residents. This full-time role involves coordinating events, creating monthly calendars, and tailoring programs to individual needs while maintaining thorough documentation.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; experience in therapeutic recreation or a similar setting is valued.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor degree is preferable.
• A qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or two years experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting within the last five years is preferred as well.
• Must pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides recreational and educational activities: current events, discussion groups, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outings, events and visits.
• Produces monthly calendars and other promotional material.
• Interviews and develops resident assessments to tailor programs to individual needs and interests.
• Maintains progress documentation and related reports in line with regulations.
• Directs volunteer activities and provides training where needed.
• Manages supplies, equipment and inventory; ensures equipment is clean and safe.
