Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group seeks an experienced accountant to support a portfolio of properties with day‑to‑day financial needs.

This hands‑on role partners with on‑property teams to ensure reporting accuracy, compliance, and timely insights that help hotels operate more effectively.

You will drive process improvements, assist system adoption, and support payroll and capital project accounting across properties.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Understanding of GAAP, USALI and general ledger practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (M3, Profitsword, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to build partnerships with property teams and cross-functional departments.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Adaptability and willingness to support ongoing process improvements.
• Confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.

Responsibilities

• Act as a financial business partner to assigned properties, providing guidance, oversight, and support on day-to-day accounting functions.
• Prepare, input, and review daily financial reports for accuracy and timely distribution across properties.
• Perform and review daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable, vendor relations, and payables process integration with procurement systems.
• Prepare and submit applicable tax filings in compliance with local/state requirements.
• Serve as the point of contact for accounting system maintenance and audits.
