Gettys in Chicago seeks a Senior Project Designer to lead hospitality interior design from concept to construction, guiding teams and ensuring the design intent is realized across all project phases.

The role requires strong hospitality experience, client goal translation into compelling solutions, mentorship of designers, and close collaboration with clients, consultants, and vendors to meet schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional interior design experience with strong hospitality focus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and design development.
• Experience leading design projects and teams through multiple phases, from concept to construction.
• Strong understanding of space planning, finishes, FF&E, detailing, and construction administration.
• Experience presenting concepts to clients and approvals.
• Mentoring and developing designers while remaining actively engaged in the design work.

Responsabilités

• Lead the overall design vision of assigned projects from concept through construction administration.
• Develop hospitality-driven design solutions that respond to client, brand, guest experience, and budget.
• Lead programming, conceptual design, space planning, finishes development, FF&E selection, and documentation.
• Translate concepts into executable design solutions while maintaining integrity across phases.
• Provide clear design direction to project teams and review for quality and alignment.
• Lead and participate in internal design reviews and critiques.
• Build strong client relationships and represent Gettys throughout projects.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and project partners.
• Oversee schematic design, design development, and construction documentation to meet standards.
