Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Cook to prepare appetizing foods for our guests while meeting hotel, restaurant and banquet standards. The Cook will join a fast-paced kitchen, uphold safety and quality, and contribute to a memorable guest experience.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and culinary experience; ServSafe and Food Handler certifications within 30 days are preferred. Flexibility, teamwork, and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year+ culinary experience in hotel/restaurant preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Food Handler certification within 30 days of hire.
• ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, professional service to guests and staff.
• Prepare food per recipes, standards, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain portion control and minimize waste.
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Follow brand standards for Food & Beverage service.
• Assist with kitchen setup and restocking as needed.
• Communicate effectively with management and teammates.
