Job summary

DxU Architects in Chicago, IL is seeking an Interior Designer II focused on hospitality and commercial architecture. You'll contribute from concept through construction, collaborating with architects, designers, consultants, and clients.

Requires a bachelor's in interior design and 3–6 years of experience; NCIDQ a plus. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualization tools; hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
• 3–6 years of professional commercial interior design experience.
• NCIDQ certification or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, finish palettes, and presentation materials.
• Prepare construction documents including plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, and interior details.
• Select and specify finishes, furnishings, lighting, fixtures, and accessories.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers.
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and project coordination.
• Conduct product research and evaluate materials for quality, durability, constructability, sustainability, and budget.
• Support construction administration through site visits and review of field conditions.
• Help maintain project schedules, organization, and project documentation.
