Job summary

Powers Health’s Hartsfield Village in Munster, IN is seeking a Hospitality Aide to support residents and patients in a non-clinical capacity while pursuing CNA certification on-site. This full-time position offers paid on-the-job training, benefits, and a clear path to certification and advancement.

You will help with dining services, resident assistance, and maintain clean, safe living areas as part of a compassionate care team. Shift is 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 8am-4:30p.
• Compassion for seniors and their families.
• Experience with seniors or comparable setting.
• Desire and ability to work as part of a team to provide excellent customer and clinical services.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID before hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents, patients and floor staff with non-direct care needs.
• Assist with Dining Services, including serving and transporting trays.
• Adhere to Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
• Communicate with residents and staff in a caring manner.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and perform other tasks as required.
• Participate in CNA Training Classes and test for Certification.

Hospitality Aides are responsible for:

• Assisting residents, patients and floor staff with non-direct care needs, including answering call lights, passing linens, filling waters, restocking supplies.
• Providing assistance with Dining Services, including serving and collecting trays, transporting residents to and from dining areas, passing snacks.
• Adhering to Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
• Communicating with residents and staff in an understandable, honest, and caring manner.
• Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions.
• Must maintain Resident unit and work area in clean and safe manner. Perform other tasks as required.
• Must participate in CNA Training Classes, and test for Certification.
