Job summary

Hartsfield Village in Indiana seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing team. The CNA will provide basic patient care, assist with mobility, and support daily activities in a compassionate, standards-based environment.

This full-time role operates days, 6:00am–2:00pm with rotating weekends/holidays for a 80-hour pay period and 1.0 FTE. Benefits include healthcare, retirement, and paid time off, among others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved CNA training program.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic care to patients under the guidelines set forth according to policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights, telephones, and/or respond to patient requests; acts on routine requests and/or relays information to proper personnel.
• Serves patient food trays, snacks, and/or nourishment
• Assists with patient mobility, transfers, ambulation.
• Maintains a safe, clean, aseptic environment in assigned areas.

Position Summary

The CNA provides basic patient care. CNA practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides basic care to patients under the guidelines set forth according to policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights, telephones, and/or respond to patient requests; acts on routine requests and/or relays information to proper personnel.
• Serves patient food trays, snacks, and/or nourishment
• Assists with patient mobility, (i.e., lifts, positions patient in bed, transfer between wheelchair and bed, and between cart and bed)
• Assists with patient ambulation as directed.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and aseptic environment in assigned work areas.

Education/Experience

• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a certified nurse assistant training course and examination.
• Over 1 year of CNA work experience preferred.
• Current valid State certification is required.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies within allotted time periods.
