Sound Physicians in Macon, Georgia seeks a Hospital Medicine Physician Assistant at Piedmont Macon Northside. This role features 12-hour day shifts with a collaborating physician and rounding on about 12 patients per day in a small community hospital with tele-Intensivist support.

You will work with EPIC and Dragon dictation, integrate into a collaborative team, and have opportunities for professional growth in a supportive hospital leadership environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA with US work authorization.
• Hospitalist experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Rounding with a physician in a day shift on an average of 12 patients.
• Collaborate with a tele-intensivist while the physician handles procedures.
• Use EPIC with Dragon dictation for charting and rely on internal informatics tools.

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our close-knit team of 2 physicians and 4 APPs at Piedmont Macon Northside.
• Work alongside one MD/DO hospitalist during the day, rounding on an average of 12 patients/day.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA.
• Previous hospitalist experience is preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

• 12-hour day shifts with a doctor for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidates must be comfortable with an open ICU with tele-Intensivist backup.
• See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists available in a small community-based hospital.
• Work in coordination with a tele-intensivist, with the doctor handling all procedures, codes, and rapid responses, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making
• Utilize EPIC with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.

Rewards and Compensation

• Compensation: $140,000/year.
• CME allowance.
